Picked up an interesting book yesterday at Goodwill called, “Specialty Shop Retailing: How to run your own store - Innovative ideas for retail success”. The copy that I found had a copyright of 1997. Was curious about the author’s business success so I looked up Orange Tree Imports
and found that it is still going strong in Madison, Wisconsin! Congrats to Carol L. Schroeder, her partner(s) and the store’s staff. I’d love to see your shop.

I also found that there have been two newer editions - 2002 and 2007. If you are interested in running your own store I highly recommend this book. Having managed a Christian bookstore for a number of years myself, I found this book to be well written and is very informative!
