Ms. Joyce Valenza’s also has a great blog that she calls “Joyce Valenza’s NeverEndingSearch Blog: a discussion of information fluency, searching, teaching and learning in the 21st Century. I can really relate to the title. There are SO many wonderful resources available to us today!
Do you have a favorite High School Media Center Website? I’d love to hear about it? Tell me about your own, too!
Among university library Websites, University of California Berkeley’s Library has a very good one. Their Finding Information page is especially good. Categories include: Books, Articles, E-Journal titles A-Z, Electronic Resources, Websites, and All Types. Granted, much of the information is available only to the students and staff of the university but it is worth looking at. If no other reason to see the organization of information - it is very easy to use.
A highlight of the site is Finding Websites (includes Search Engines and Subject Directories) and specifically Search the Internet.
Another good university library is the University Libraries USC (South Carolina). I rec’d my Masters in Library and Information Science from USC so I am a little partial!
What university library Website do you recommend?
____________
I’ll add some good H.S. Websites here as I come across them.
