Two of my all time favorites are EducationWorld.com and Internet4Classrooms.com.  If you don’t find it there, you don’t need it!  Well, almost!

EducationWorld.com has a ton of great articles covering almost aspect of education.  Major areas include: Lesson Planning, Professional Development, Administrator’s Desk (administration), Technology Integration and School Issues.   The site is fully searchable.  Note that some links are paid advertisements (they are clearly marked).

Internet4Classrooms.com  succeeds quite well at its purpose of “helping teachers use the Internet effectively”.  I am amazed that this site was created and is maintained by only two people!  Wow!  To learn more about it read the introduction.  The site provides links to the best Internet Websites available in several broad categories including:

  • Links for K-12 Teachers (All subject areas including: Arts and Music, Career-Technical/CTE, ESL, Foreign Language, Health & P.E.,  Language Arts/English, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies)*
  • Assessment Assistance (helping students prepare for annual assessments)
  • Online Practice Modules (Step-by-step tutorials for learning applications used in K-12 classrooms.)
  • Daily Dose of the Web (Web sites which change content on a daily or weekly basis.)
  • and even more!
  • * Science - Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry, Earth Science, Physics   Social Studies - Geography, History, Economics

Another good site is PBS.org/Teachers  which offers “mulitmedia resources & professional development for America’s preK-12 educators”.   There is a special section for Library Media & Technology Coordinators.
