Just as the characters of the books/movies have grown, so have the fans and their fan Websites. An AP article, by Hillel Italie, entitled “Fan sites look back at rise of Potter” was featured on Yahoo! News and by most other media sources.
The article begins:
“Emerson Spartz remembers the good old days. It was Fall 1999, Spartz was 12 and he decided to create a little Web site about a hot new series of fantasy books.”
The article goes on to describe the growth of the fan Websites “more than 300 million copies (of the books) later”. The Websites mentioned in the article are listed at the bottom of the article.
Many other articles on Harry Potter can be found at the Yahoo! News Full Coverage of Harry Potter page.
The seventh and final book, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows“, comes out July 21. Scholastic is the publisher.
